Candy from Cooee

Last night I returned from a just perfect vacation in Palma, Mallorca, where we stayed at the amazing Puro Hotel and enjoyed every day at Puro Beach. WOW - we just loved it! I'll post some pic's from it tomorrow. Every time I'm on travel without my daughter, Carmen, I miss her like crazy. A couple of weeks ago I ordered these fab pieces from Cooee; besides from seeing the real one, this was a great "welcome present" - don't you think? The color on the name tag is a mix of orange and purple,  the fairy looks like a mirror and the cuff changes color depending on the light. This is definitely not the last time I'll by acryllic jewelry from this brand! The best thing is; my little fairy princess is with me at all times! Necklace is from Marc Jacobs. From one fairytale to another; we bought our dream property while in Palma! #HAPPYWOMAN these days! :) Future blog posts will be a good mix of fashion and funkis!

Karl & a dash of Cooee

Fall is soon here and I've already started dreaming... Have you seen the rock-chic collection from Karl? Perhaps no wonder, but I just love it! New job & lots of travelling resulted in no blogging for 2 months; not exactly my kind of style when we're talking about social media... Well; it's never too late to return - right? :) We just got back from 2 weeks of vacation in our house in Spain & we've had such a great time! Sun, beach, great food, perfect cava and good company! Luckily we're soon going back to Spain - this time to Palma, Mallorca!

Rihanna Armani Jeans Capsule Collection is looking very promising - at least on these sketches! If the denim jumpsuit actually looks like this I'll definately get one! Next year I presume we'll see her first collection on her own... Happy Saturday - rock'n roll! 

I love contrasts

Yesterday it was the Norwegian Constitution Day/National Day of Norway where we had our traditional costumes on. Today is apparently the Victoria's Secret Day; some of the bikinis I've ordered from the US arrived. Talking about contrasts... :) I think it's time to go to the gym and make the body ready for these type of outfits! Have an amazing weekend!

On travel...

I always find a lot of great pieces for my wishlist while travelling. Last week I went on an induction tour to Henley-on-Thames/Marlow in UK for my new job and amongst other things I found 3 superb tunics from Missoni and this fab Etro dress! I recommend you to visit Henley; such a nice, little town (and well known for its many well-trained rowers :)). I stayed at the wonderful Hotel du Vin & Bistro and got upgraded to one of their fantastic loft-suites! I'll definitely go back! Below you can see one of my typical work-outfits (I only had my iPhone with me = bad image).

I want summer

We got a tiny taste of summer today and I LOVE it! Looking at the weather forecast it seems like we're getting close to winter temperatures again later in the week... I want to wear sandals every day, I want tan on my legs, I want to BBQ every evening, I want to swim with my daughter, I WANT SUMMER! NOW! Perhaps I should have lived in a different country!? ;)

Cravings

Two of the items that are on top of my wishlist these days are #1 these boots from Jimmy Choo PF12 (I'm on the waiting list! :)) and #2 is this amazing jumpsuit from Missoni!

FAB - isn't it? I just love this open back! Now I just need to go out and get some tan... :)

Another day in bleachland

While clearing out old clothes I found this D&G jeans shirt that I haven't used for ages. I thought I might give it another try - just with a different coloring! After 12 hours in bleach...

With black leather shorts and a pair of nice sandals or pumps; yes - I think the shirt will live through this season!

How to tie bleach pants

Once upon a time there was a pair of boring purple, cropped pants...

The pants fell in the water, soaking wet and were then tied up and ...

... thrown in a bucket filled with water and bleach.

After 10 long hours it was saved, untied and washed.

Hang-drying for some hours and suddenly ready for a new life!

It's finally weekend and they're ready to relax on the sofa! Have a wonderful weekend!

My # 1 inspiration

My little girl Carmen is my biggest source of inspiration! At the age of 5, she's very interested in clothes! This outfit was picked out in different stores & put together by herself and I love it! With her - life is definitely rock chic and so much fun!

Skull & peace - summer style

Today I went shopping and found so many great pieces; a white dress, a "festival skirt", pants and a patterned, cool shirt. I'll add images later! I was also looking for a colorful skull bracelet (I still haven't got tired of skulls...), but since I couldn't find any I liked I made one - together with the "peace-bracelet" - myself this afternoon! Dashes of color is much needed when it's pouring down outside...

Me & my wellies

 

Living in Norway, a must in your wardrobe is a pair of tall wellies! It's Monday and the rain is pouring down... I bought my pair of Jimmy Choo for Hunter's black crocodile-print Wellington boots a couple of years ago and although I've used them a lot (no wonder - right?) I don't get tired of them! This is an image from yesterday when it was slightly raining... I wouldn't categorize this as a spring outfit; I have vacation this week, dreaming of colorful outfits and wearing sandals - any suggestions on where to go? Rome perhaps? :)

Go NEON

If someone told me a year ago that I would be surfing for NEON items this spring I would have started laughing. And here we go again... This is my selection of the day! By that I don't mean it as one single outfit! Black leather shorts, the green pumps, a simple white singlet - and last, but not least; top it with a bit of tan on the legs. Neon & light "blueish" skin has never been a good combo! ;)

Happiness

Happiness is waking up early a Saturday morning because your daughter is giving you a kiss on your cheek, you feel well rested, it's the first day of your vacation, enjoying freshly brewed coffee (nice cup - huh? The most touristy there is and I LOVE it! :)) and you have several fashion magazines you haven't read (and actually having time to read them!). I intend to keep this feeling the rest of the day too! Goodbye Cisco

What an amazing and emotional day! After 12 years @ Cisco my final day is tomorrow... Today my fantastic colleagues had arranged a goodbye get-together in the office with speeches and greetings that made me cry like a baby! I haven't got words that could explain how proud and happy it made me feel; I'll keep these years, my wonderful colleagues and these words as one beautiful memory in my heart forever! A million thanks!!! And to top it all I got this fabulous flower arrangement and a gift card worth nearly 600$ at one of the best high-end stores in Oslo - EGER! No wonder why I'm both sad and happy today!

LBD + a dash of color

This is one of those days where hidden stuff suddenly appear; I just found 2 LBD's wrapped in plastic, ordered from ASOS quite a while ago! I love the length and the fabric (read: easy to hide love-handles) on both. Since it still feels like winter outside I would style it with these shoes from Louboutin, a plain black leather jacket and add a dash of more red with this clutch - also from my beloved ASOS! When the summer arrives I think I'll rather pair the LBD with sandals in a fresh color! Happy Wednesday!

Be childish

You know you have a pretty childish bracelet combo when your 5-year old love'm! But do you know what? It's fun to be childish and it definitely makes my mood better! Go out there and play!

Are peonies replacing roses?

If you ask Dolce & Gabbana, the answer would be yes! I've never been a huge fan of flower printed outfits, but I know one thing for sure: Never say never - right? These peony-printed looks great on these models, but until further notice I think I'll keep mine in a vase!

God påske!

Dette er nok posten hvor man burde ha lagt inn et påskeegg eller et bilde av en kylling, men akkurat nå var tanken på sol, sommer & sandaler en smule mer fristende enn tanken på minusgrader & vind på fjellet! Tenk deg et par Fiona's fra Jimmy Choo på brune ben & sol som steker... Vel; det er vel bare å stupe i det, pakke ferdig bilene (som er smekkfulle allerede!?) og vende nesa mot høyden. Med ny hytte, morsomme aktiviteter for barna & mange gode venner rundt seg blir det nok en kjempefin påske! Jeg håper du får det samme! :)
